I'm back

Guess who's back...back again... beth is back... tell a friend...

Has it really been that long? Wow! So much time has passed since my last update.

On the crafty front, there hasn't been too much going on... I finally busted out my cricut and started a little project called "operation snail mail" in which I asked folks to message me via fb with their addresses if they wanted a specially crafted card sent to them. I had to close out after a few hours because more people requested cards than I expected! I might open it up again in a few months after I've stocked up on cards.

Be on the lookout for my operation snail mail cards, a name frame, birthday cards, etc...

I've invested in more cricut cartridges so I'm really looking forward to the holidays!

See ya soon!

Hair Flower

Hair Flower Exchange!

Last year, my halau sistahz got together for our first Christmas gathering. To make the gift exchange interesting, we were asked to bring a hair flower to exchange. I didn't participate because honestly I didn't feel like making anything. LOL.

This year we are reviving the hair flower exchange, and I decided to go with an elegant flower with feathers and beads. I opted out of the typical Tahitian girl or hula girl flower in the hair thing since I think its too easy to do! And besides, I need to up my game when it comes to hair pieces.

So I made the flower shown above. A white peony flower with white feathers, clear crystal beads, pink, grey and white pearls.

I am quite please as to how it came out. It was pretty easy. I think I might post it on facebook to see if I can get any orders for brides, bridesmaids, and/or prom.

What do you think? How much would you charge? or How much would you pay for a beautiful, big hair flower?

Here are the crafts that I did for our friend's jungle themed baby shower. Luke and Mary Ann already have 2 adorable daughters, and they were welcoming their third baby- a boy!

I was quite excited to make an assortment of crafts for the party and made the favors, diaper cake and shirts for the big sisters.

The T-shirts were made with the cricut using the freezer paper method.

The diaper cake was made up of some wal-mart brand diapers and Garanimals.

Party Favors were animal cups ordered from Oriental Trading, and edible snack packs made with monkey munch and animal crackers.

This party was held back in September and I'm only getting around to posting now. Hopefully I can do more crafts to get back into the game!

Cupcake toppers

Whew! Making cupcake toppers is tough!

Anyway, here's what I did for Marvy to tie up the cupcake party invite that I showcased not too long ago. She's having cupcakes baked by Angie (Sugar Rush Sweets) to look like the cupcake on the invite. With a damask wrapper, and pink frosting... I thought these cupcake toppers would tie in all the colors from the invite just nicely!

Hope you like them!

no motivation

I haven't had motivation to create anything for a while. Maybe after my birthday, I'll sit down and make a bunch of cards or something. Oh yeah! I have to make cupcake toppers. Stay tuned for the cupcake toppers that I have to make for next week!
